Hansel e Gretel

The show “Hansel and Gretel”, is based on the story of its namesake, in which its timeless and familiar dimension is considered, allowing us to weave different connections with today and reworking the journey of Gretel and Hansel itself, from a perspective of questioning regarding the meaning of “Witch” in the sphere of fantasy and social and human history.

Who brought you here? Come in and stay with me, nothing bad will happen to you...

  • About the show
  • We propose to encourage conscious thinking about the nature of things and desires, through a participatory, immersive and fun experience, for children and adults, thinking about the symbolic power of images as a sphere that promotes meanings and thought. This new creation was also designed to disobey conventional space in terms of the audience/stage relationship. The show travels through the audience and the same happens in reverse, inside the stage. The exploratory basis for this creation was based on concepts such as: Immersion, Installation, video and animation, participatory public, gender inequality, social, human condition and "witches". Aesthetically, it lies between tradition and contemporary times.
