Red Cloud Teatro de Marionetas
is a Portuguese company, based in Aveiro, founded in 2013. Award-winning and with a solid artistic career, it presents itself to children and adults. It participates in national and international Theater and Puppet Festivals, establishes partnerships and implements projects together with public and private institutions.
Based on the motto Puppets in Motion, it expands the concept of Puppetry. It investigates and develops its contemporary language in the regular creation of shows and subsequent circulation. In a limbo between tradition and modernity, it fulfills the mission of preservation, dissemination and circulation of the popular Portuguese puppet tradition “Teatro Dom Roberto”.
The Red Cloud Marionetas Space
in Aveiro, in addition to being the research and experimentation laboratory for artistic creation, it is a space that occasionally opens doors for the most diverse activities. Actions within the scope of the company’s activity plan or by spontaneous appointments. At the Red Cloud Marionetas Space there are workshops, specialized training, presentation of works and informal conversations around theatre, puppets and things in motion. We encourage the sharing of the company’s creative processes involving the artistic teams of the various projects.
