Cláudia Ribeiro
Graduated in Scenography and Costume Design from the Contemporary Academy of Spectacle. She attended the 1st Academic Year of BA (Hons) Costume Design Degree Course at Wimbledon School of Art, London, having specialized in the making of hats, shoes, jewelry, belts, wigs, armor, tutus, and period props. She holds the Licentiate Certificate from Esmae, under the Bologna Accords, in costumes and theater props. She develops work as a creative and technical coordinator in various local and national cultural structures. One of her best known works was presented by the band “Deolinda”, where she reformulated the entire image of the musicians in the release and tour of the second album “Dois Selos e um Carimbo”, with the final presentation of the band’s debut on the stages of Coliseus de Lisboa and Porto in 2011. She worked with the most diverse personalities in the theatre, music, opera, ballet, television and cinema. Highlights include João Paulo Costa, Luís Blat, Isabel Alves Costa, João Grosso, Jorge Pinto, Hélder Costa, António Durães, Joaquim Nicolau, Rui Sérgio Barroca Mateus, Norma Silvestre, João Paulo Seara Cardoso, Isabel Barros, Paulo Castro, José Carlos Garcia, Rui Melo, Magna Ferreira, among others. In the area of technical coordination, she works with the most diverse personalities in the scenic arts, having as masters António Lagarto, Vin Burhman, Júlio Vanzeler and Nuno Carinhas. In 2012, she was selected as a costume designer for the creation and technical coordination of the costumes for the musical show “Entre, Ficamos”, staged by António Durães. This was the closing spectacle of the European capital of culture in Guimarães.
