Red Cloud Teatro de Marionetas has been in national circulation with different proposals for shows and educational services. Braga, at the Festival “Palcos Irrequietos”, by Fértil Cultural, Ferreira do Zêzere, Figueira da Foz, São Mamede Infesta, Bragança, are some of the places we visited.
At the Aveiro Prison, work resumed within the scope of the partnership with the Libert`arte project, led by Tuna de Santa Joana.
Work is underway to restage the show by Jorge Louraço Figueira, in which Red Cloud participates “As Sete Vidas da Argila – How Boca de Barro gained its nickname”, which this time will be on stage as part of the Festival dos Canais, on the 16th and 17th of July, at 6:30 pm, in the Cloisters of the Igreja da Misericórdia, in Aveiro.
On the 9th of July, our Teatro Dom Roberto will be in Gondomar at the Ei! Festival, promoted by the Teatro de Marionetas de Mandrágora.
From the 12th of August we will be at the OLHÓ Boneco Festival, promoted by Lafontana – Formas Animadas, in Vila do Conde. And on the 21st we will be at the Fora dos Eixos Festival, promoted by Marionetas Rui Sousa.

The work around the PLIP show in partnership with the SAFE project, Healthy Neighborhoods was successfully completed! The students of the Escola Básica do Padrão da Légua carried out several activities developed by the educational service of Red Cloud Teatro de Marionetas, with the motto “Thinking about the PLIP show” in the context of diversity, respect and equality, which took the team and the participants a long way. .
The children went through several experiences and challenges before watching the show PLIP, at Teatro Flor Infesta. After viewing the show, there was another moment of practical work, such as the construction of puppets and the invention of an imaginary language, based on research and previous steps carried out by the children. It was a very complete process! Red Cloud Teatro de Marionetas, provided a set of articulated experiences to better think the show around the approached and essential points of the project in action.

The mini season of Teatro Dom Roberto + Mini Workshop of Stopmotion at Espaço Red Cloud Marionetas, was incredible, in which the Aveirense audience (parents, grandparents, grandchildren, cousins and aunts) helped to make the Storyboard in Stopmotion, a work that has not yet is completed…. More sessions will be needed for the audience to be the main actor in this activity.
In Bragança, at the Abade de Baçal Museum, we carried out something similar, however, with some differences. It was a very intense week! We presented the show at the Domus Municipallis, at the invitation of the União das Freguesias da Sé, Santa Maria and Meixedo and carried out several educational service actions at the museum around the characters of Dom Roberto and the figures of the Museum… The result will be announced soon on our streaming content platform https://redcloudmarionetas.tecnologiasimaginadas.com/platforme/, Stay tuned!
Stop Motion Workshop – Abade de Baçal Museum – Bragança
It is worth mentioning that the 25th of June was the first anniversary of the elevation of the Teatro Dom Roberto to intangible cultural heritage. We presented the show in the morning in the garden of the Abade de Baçal museum and shared with the public a little of the history of this popular traditional Portuguese puppet genre and we could not fail to pay tribute to João Paulo Seara Cardoso (1956-2010) and Maria José Machado dos Santos (1961-2020).
Dom Roberto – Domus Municipalis – Bragança
The industrial comedy “As Sete Vidas da Argila” will be on stage, don’t forget, on the 16th and 17th of July at 18:30, in the Cloisters of the Igreja da Misericórdia. It is a work developed with the Aveiro community, with text and staging by Jorge Louraço Figueira, adaptation to the new space by Amarílis Felizes, music by Pedro Almeida, with the participation of Red Cloud Teatro de Marionetas in the design and construction of props by Rui Rodrigues and interpretation with Sara Henriques and another fabulous team of actresses from the Aveiro community.
