Here and there, a little everywhere!

Red-Cloud-Setembro-22

Red Cloud Teatro de Marionetas has been all over the place!

For many people, September arrives with a special taste of a fresh start and that’s a good thing! Around here we like these routines throughout the year :).

This month, you can visit the Festa de Outono em Serralves, in Porto (weekend of the 24th and 25th) and watch our dear Teatro Dom Roberto, elevated in 2021 to Portuguese intangible cultural heritage, in Jardim de Serralves, but not only, there will be a very diversified program, with many other cultural proposals.

To close the month of September…

Red Cloud Teatro de Marionetas’ collaboration with the Libert’arte project at the Aveiro Prison is coming to an end. As part of our artistic creation proposal in development with the inmate community, will be presented the play: “Rose and the Three Boyfriends”

This piece is part of the traditional puppet repertoire elevated to Portuguese intangible cultural heritage “Teatro Dom Roberto”. However, within the scope of the project, the story served as inspiration for the creation of a new version. In this sense, the piece was rewritten and developed with the technique of rod manipulating and not glove puppets as it is traditionally known.

It is a small comic play, with puppets, which served as the basis for the development of various creative processes, with the inmates, such as: improvisation, manipulation, rewriting, puppet construction and interpretation.
